My best mix to date!

Well, I think I finally put together a solid mix. I have been working very hard to tighten up my beatmatching. I guess spinning in front of a crowd for two hours, once a week is starting paying off. I concentrated less on programming and matching keys yet the mix came together nicely. Again, I have to thank Dave Epstein for his guidance and support. I continually learn from Dave who has so much knowledge to give. Hopefully this mix will make Dave proud to have me as his student.

Please feel free to post any feedback.

Solid mixing, Geoff. You're ready for prime-time baby.
Mixes are dead on accurate. Programming is flawless. You successfully build intensity throughout the set, which keeps it interesting. There are some really interesting tunes in your set. For instance, this vocal track at 42 minutes in is SOLID!
By the way, Dave has taught you all that he can. I believe you are ready to step it up to the next level of DJing....I will become your master. So what if I can't DJ..it's really just a mind thing anyway.

bro, nice work. even my uncultured ear can tell that you've been workin hard. i'd like to add in a specific point in the set that is particularly "groovie" but that would be too presumptuous. But to worry. Insert your own knowledgeable input into my most sincere feedback as follows:

"Very impressed with your most excellent (noun for body of work specific to dj). I particularly liked the (noun for particularly sound, hook, groove) that your laid down at (time). I don't think I'm stretching the truth when I say that as a father of four and (term for major heavy weight in techno/electronica/progressivehouse dj-ing) you are in a class all by yourself. Don't let your(dj lingo for panzy) bro-in-law sell you short. He knows nothing of the struggles and challenges to make it in the ruthless, ultra-competitive, backbiting feeding frenzy that is today's (dj approved term for the world of dj-ing). Rock on (or groove on or whatever else would be more appropriate)!!"

Don't be modest. Put in the terms that really do you and your work justice. The only criteria is that it should adequately convey a sentiment consistent with, "Dadburnit, that was a real sure 'nuff superhit."

peace,
