What does deep house mixed at 130 bpm sound like?

Howdy everyone,

So you love deep house yet sometimes you what something with a little more movement...a little faster. I was wondering the other day what it would sound like if I really pushed up the bpm (beats per minute) to 130. Last night I had some extra energy (caffeine) and decided to record a quick half hour deep house set mixed at 130 bpm. Most of the mixes are good, some small slippage yet please provide your feedback about the sound and flow of fast, deep house.

Thanks.

Wonderful, Geoffrey, absolutely fabulous! A little fast, maybe ;-) but very danceable. I especially liked the track with the (balearic/Spanish?) guitar. A big thanks from Marco, probably your biggest admirer from Zurich, Switzerland. Keep up the good work! and take care. Best, Marco

At first it felt a little on the fast side but after a little I got into it. Too fast to code too :) . Maybe 128 would work better?

This is what I call a proper session ma man! State side house tends to be a bit on the slow side but over here in the UK we like it bumped up slightly.

Is there any chance in a play list?

Thank you for the post. Unfortunately, I did this mix on a whim and recorded it from scratch. Good to know the UK crowd likes it faster. It still keeps the groove yet pumps up the energy from the higher BPMs. Have a great one!
